Ms. Linda Brumfield

Ms. Linda “Lynn” Brumfield was born on October 2nd, 1956 to Mrs. Jessie Mae Brumfield and the late Mr. Realius Brumfield. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and lived a life full of love, kindness, and extraordinary service to her community. After graduating from Amite High School in 1974, Linda enlisted in the United States Army. During her years of service, she married the late Robert Lee Perkins and through their union, three children were born. She also furthered her education by obtaining a certificate of completion from Central Texas College and later earned her diploma from Coastal College. After honorably serving her country, she returned home to Louisiana where she would work at numerous different jobs before ultimately working for Sears, Roebuck, and Company where she retired after a 20 years of service. Linda was very joyful, caring, compassionate, patient, and wise. She was a social butterfly and made friends from all walks of life. She brightened up rooms, loved to have a good time with family and friends, loved lending a helping hand, and loved the Lord. She would pack as many people as possible into a vehicle if they accepted her invitation to church. She was a devoted Christian, daughter, sister, niece, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, auntie, cousin, and friend. Whenever she was needed, she always answered the call and on August 16th, 2023, at age 67, the Lord called her home. Upon her arrival, she will be welcomed into our Father’s Kingdom by her earthly father, the late Realius Brumfield, her brother, the late Alfred Brumfield Sr., and many more of our angels. Linda’s life will always be remembered and celebrated by her surviving family: Mother, Jessie Mae Brumfield; her (2) brothers, Chester “Chest” (Shelia) Brumfield Sr., Alton “Peeny” Brumfield; sister, Sharonda White; daughter, Teneekah Perkins; (2) sons, Robert “Lil Rob” (Diane) Perkins, Jeremy Perkins; grandchildren, Adarius Williams, Tytana Williams, Montrill Perkins, Aaliyah Perkins, Jerrell Hughes, Jeremiah Hughes; and great grandchildren, Skylar, Elijah, and James Williams, Aunt, Yvonne Wilson, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
